Not being as eloquent as Bill, I struggle to eke out a few words to describe a person who defies being placed in a category. Bill; it would be much easier if you could be here to help me. To me, Bill was simply one of the colorful Drew Avenue cousins who always had the smile, the smart remark when appropriate, and a helping hand when one was needed. Highland Falls was his home, and his dedication to the village is well noted. It seems that every organization in and around town benefited from our tireless Irish treasure....and when a remark was appropriate during an event or occasion, the "gift of gab" always seemed to emerge. The family, the village, and the world may have lost the physical Bill; but we will never lose the qualities that we've gained through his presence in our lives.
Thank you, Bill.
